Conceived by award-winning London based event promoters LWE, Tobacco Dock Virtual is a bold new multi-purpose virtual event space that is tearing down barriers between digital and real-world event experiences. Working together with Sansar virtual live events platform, LWE created the UK’s first ever multi-purpose virtual event space to be based on a real venue, London’s iconic Tobacco Dock. This new iteration recreates the much-loved Grade 1 listed building in minute detail, from its sweeping staircases to cavernous dancefloors, attracting a global audience.

Event attendees are invited to become part of the narrative by creating custom avatars, meeting new people and exploring different spaces and activations. The physical event taking place at the real-life Tobacco Dock is replicated in VR inside Tobacco Dock Virtual with both events running concurrently. The interactive nature of TDv offers deeper engagement than a regular event stream - for example, the VR audience can communicate with speakers and performers from anywhere in the world, experience VR replicas of products, and network with other guests.
